Today we are super excited to announce experimental tvOS support! Here’s how you can try it out, even without a tvOS device. In RoboVM Studio/IntelliJ IDEA, simply create a new project and select one of the tvOS templates! Once the project is created, you can find two new run configurations, one for any connected Apple TV device, and one for the Apple TV simulator. RoboVM 1.11 released – experimental Bitcode support, iOS 9.1 and Kotlin!

Experimental Bitcode Support We’ve been hard at work adding initial bitcode support to RoboVM. Bitcode allows Apple to recompile your app on their servers to exploit new CPU features. Currently, watchOS and tvOS both require apps to be submitted as bitcode. For iOS, bitcode submissions are currently optional. This experimental feature is currently targeted at iOS, and represents the first step towards future watchOS and tvOS support. This release brings a brand new setup experience in RoboVM Studio, fresh sample apps with a hidden surprise and a lot of new documentation. RoboVM Studio In RoboVM Studio 1.9.0 we’ve improved the setup experience and added a new welcome screen. During setup RoboVM Studio will download an Android SDK and help you get started with your license key. RoboVM 1.8 released – iOS 9 Support!

Blog RoboVM 1.8 released Same Day iOS 9 & Xcode 7 Support! Right on time for the iOS 9 release today, we are happy to announce RoboVM 1.8! Previous RoboVM releases already had experimental support for iOS 9 and Xcode 7 betas. We are now happy to report that we also finished +95% of the bindings work, save for the new tvOS and watchOS 2 APIs!
